On arrival in Venzone you are literally confronted with the only preserved,
fortified town dating from the 1300's in
Friuli Venezia Giulia. For this reason
it was declared a National Monument in 1965. There are various options for the visitor:
the historic features of Venzone are worth exploring, it was a customs point in the Middle
Ages; you can admire grand residences with internal courtyards that date from the 16th
Century along with the imposing defense system that was used including the towers, doors and walls.
True architectural gems are the Duomo di S. Andrea and the Palazzo Comunale.
